The seal of the P.V. Narsimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University (PVNRTVU), has a circle holding the motifs of a map of the State of Telangana surrounded by a bullock, a sheep, a microscope, a pair of fish and a hen. Inside the map the Staff of Hermes or Caduceus with a pair of wings and entwined by a pair of snakes symbolising medicine and medical profession emerging from the letter ‘V’ denoting ‘Veterinary’ and supported by an open book symbolising education, knowledge and wisdom. The motifs around the map symbolises the domain of knowledge in which the university operates. This circle with motifs is ensconced by a white circular border carrying the name of the university in Telugu and a blue border in English. Below the circle, on a blue banner ‘Hyderabad India’ is written.
