The emblem of Kanyashree University (KU) has the motif of a girl as in the Kanyashree scheme surmounting an open book and supported on both sides by laurels. Above these motifs the name of the university is placed and below the year of establishment is written. All these are held by a shield. Below the shield on a blue banner the motto of the university ‘Empowering Women’ is written. The girl holding a book supported by laurel wreaths projects ambition and triumph of the goals she strives for. The shield symbolises protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the open book symbolises education, learning, knowledge and wisdom; the laurels symbolise ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication and the colour blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

The name and place of the college is written around the circle. A purple laurel supports the seal. In the border at the top 'ಕಾಯಕವೇ ಕೈಲಾಸ' in Kannada  meaning ‘Work is Worship’ and at the bottom ‘JSS Maha Vidyapeetha’ are written. These are further circumscribed by three pairs of two overlapping arrows in orange and blue forming a revolving pattern also forming a hexagon. The emblem denotes constant evolution and growth. The colour orange symbolises energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness and the colour blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.
