INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY MANDI

Indian Institute of Technology Mandi (IIT Mandi) has been established with the vision to be a leader in science and technology education, knowledge creation and innovation. The theme of its emblem is the freedom to learn from the limitless domain of knowledge and the freedom to be unique. The emblem is composed of the suspension bridge of Mandi, an engineering marvel is the focal point of the with the symbolic representation of hills, sun and the Beas. The sun rises on these mountains to spread the hue of true knowledge. The Beas, unaware of its own majesty, flows beneath an engineering marvel - a century old suspension bridge of the historical Mandi town. Three colours are used in the logo, viz., blue, green and orange. Blue signifies limitless sky, thus symbolises the vast expanse of knowledge. Green signifies vegetation, youth and freshness of ideas. Orange signifies energy and the spirit of dedication. The depth in the logo signifies an unending quest for excellence. The bridge, which is a specimen of the cutting edge engineering skills of the yesteryears, portends similar wondrous creations by the students of IIT Mandi. Thus, the logo depicts what IIT Mandi is - a youthful and a vibrant destination for the steadfast pursuit of knowledge and excellence. The logo was designed by Dr. Ila Gupta.

RAJMATA VIJAYARAJE SCINDIA KRISHI VISHWA VIDYALAYA The Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Gwalior was established by Government of Madhya Pradesh on August 19, 2008 by bifurcating the JNKVV, Jabalpur. The green toned circular emblem of the university has a motif of a farmer tilling the soil using cattle and plough placed over an open book signifying the knowledge, wisdom and education of agriculture. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि मूलम् जगत् सर्वम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Root of the World’ is written. All these are ensconced in two circular borders, of which one carries its name and place in English and the outer one carries its name and place in Devanagari supported by a pair of wheat ears. The ears of wheat signifies prosperity, food, wealth and nourishment and the colour green signifies agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.

GLOBAL CENTRE FOR NUCLEAR ENERGY PARTNERSHIP Global Centre for Nuclear Energy Partnership (GCNEP) comes under the purview of Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) of Government of India. The vignetted blue to cyan colour circular logo has a partial structure of atom on top and its acronyms in Devanagari and English. The motto of the institution is written along the circumference in Devanagari ‘राष्ट्र की सेवा में परमाणु’ meaning ‘Atoms in the Service of the Nation, above and below respectively in grey. The taglines are supported on either side by Indian National Tricolour stripes.

HINDUSTAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND SCIENCE Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS), located at Chennai, Tamil Nadu commenced in 1985. The circular emblem in orange and green has a gear wheel housing a pair of laurels and circle containing a map of India and its year of establishment ensconced by its motto ‘Knowledge is Power’ on a green border. The gear wheel signifies interconnectedness; efficiency and precision; progress and advancement; synchronisation and timing and order and structure; the laurels signify victory and achievement, they are a reminder of the hard work and dedication that it takes to achieve success; map of India denotes its service to the entire India and to the world; the colour orange symbolises energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness and the colour green symbolises agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.

(Jijau Bank) has a profile image of Rajmata Jijau on a green circle ensconced by a partial gear wheel which is inscribed with its name and place in Devanagari. This assemblage is supported by a red banner bearing its motto ‘राष्ट्रमेव जयते’ meaning ‘Let the Nation Triumph’. The gear wheel refers to industry and industrial financing.

AMITY UNIVERSITY RAJASTHAN The emblem of Amity University Rajasthan (AU R) has a shield divided into yellow and dark blue sections. The dark blue portion is a left to right upward sweeping stroke, bearing the name of the university. The yellow portion has a torch, the flame of which is written using its acronym. The shield has blue borderlines. The name and place of the university is written on the right side of the pictorial in classic serif font. The dark blue with contemporary cues of technology, performance and advancement strikes a synergy with the golden yellow radiance of tradition, culture and values. The Staff of Hermes denotes medicine and medical profession; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity and the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.
