National Institute of Technology Raipur (Formerly Government Engineering College Raipur) is situated in the capital the State of Chhattisgarh. From December 1, 2005, the institute has become the National Institute of Technology. The circular multicolour emblem has a shining sun in the centre with the backdrop of circumnutating squares, supported by a bridge, a glass flask, an antenna and a helical structure of DNA. This is ensconced in circular gear. This assemblage has a border in which the name of the institute is written in English and Devanagari. At the bottom on a banner its tagline in Sanskrit ‘नित्यं यातो शुभोदयं’ meaning ‘Let the Rise of Goodness Happen Every Day’ is written.
