The insignia of Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University (BATU) is a light brown colour shield with black outlines and details houses the motifs of Dr. Ambedkar, a factory and a ship on sea, surmounted by a circle holding a glowing traditional lamp crested by its motto in Sanskrit meaning 'Development Through Technology'. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the ship and factory denote industry and commerce and the lamp denotes light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity.

UTTARANCHAL UNIVERSITY Uttaranchal University has come a long way since its inception in 2013 providing world class multidisciplinary education. The university's mission is to inculcate the essence of the Sanskrit Shloka ‘पदं हि सर्वत्र गुणैर्निधीयते’ meaning ‘Good Qualities Put their Footprints Everywhere’. The logo of the university has a blue and green abstract pictorial of ‘U’ and on its right a wordmark of its name in capitals thin serif letters with smooth transition of strokes. The counter of the ‘U’ is filled blue and a stroke of blue and green flows across diagonally from left to right top. This is further cut out by another ‘U’ at the top right corner. The colour blue represents serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty and the colour green denotes life, production, fertility, agriculture, environment and nature. The logo is modern, trendy and attractive.
