Chaitanya ‘Deemed to be University’ was founded by the Viswa Bharati Education Society (VBES) in 1991. The emblem of the university has Goddess Saraswati, the God of learning, knowledge and wisdom placed on the map of India in a circle. This is crested by an open book, which supports a rising sun. All these are placed in a light yellow coloured circle. This circle is circumscribed by a blue border with a red borderline carrying the name, status and the address of the university. At the bottom, on a light green banner its motto ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ (Yajnavalkya,1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad) meaning ‘Lead me from Darkness to Light’ is written. The open book symbolises knowledge and wisdom and the sun symbolises light, universal prosperity and path for growth.

U.P. RAJARSHI TANDON OPEN UNIVERSITY The U.P. Rajarshi Tandon Open University (UPRTOU), Allahabad, was established on March 24, 1999. It is named after Bharat Ratna Rajarshi Purusottam Das Tandon ji, an illustrious son of Mother India. Its circular logo in yellow and red has motifs of shining sun in red colour and two joyous humans holding hands and books are supported by rivers flowing from left and right. These are ensconced in a yellow border on which the name of the university and its place are written. This is placed on a red colour pedestal on which its motto in Sanskrit ‘सरस्वती नः सुभगा मयस्करतुः’ meaning ‘May Saraswati Bless us with Good Fortune’ is inscribed. GURU GHASIDAS VISHWAVIDYALAYA Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (GGV), is a Central University of India, located in Bilaspur Chhattisgarh State, established under Central Universities Act 2009, No. 25 of 2009. Formerly called Guru Ghasidas University (GGU), established by an Act of the State Legislative Assembly, was formally inaugurated on June 16, 1983. The insignia of the institution has a innumerable concentric petalled lotus in a red circle encircled by its name and motto in Sanskrit ‘ज्ञान पंथ कृपान कै धारा’ meaning ‘Cult of Knowledge is Through the Blessings’ and is ensconced in a blue gear wheel turning clockwise. G.L.A. UNIVERSITY The gold and olive green insignia of G.L.A. University (GLAU) has a shield with an open book and a reader  and its year of inception supported by a pair of laurels. A golden banner placed on the shield is inscribed with its name.
