The insignia of Vardhman Mahavir Medical College (VMMC) has a burning torch on a Staff entwined by a pair of serpents, supported from the bottom by rising sun and by a pair of laurels on sides. Below these, on a banner, the motto of the college ‘In the Service of  Humanity’ is written. The motifs are surmounted by its name. The torch represents enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; the Staff and the serpents represents medicine and medical profession; the laurels denote ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication and the rising sun denotes life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity.
