Shree Vidya Academy (SVA) was established by Smt. Jaya Chaturvedi in 2000. Her vision was to bring holistic education into young minds with very strong basics, traditions and culture. Its logo is in the form of a tree rooted in a book, trunk as a pair of hands of teachers growing out of the book and supporting and nourishing the seven coloured - yellow, orange, red, green, dark blue, brown and dark brown foliage of students.

SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. All these are ensconced by a circular border and along the border the name of the university is written. The motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘विद्यया विन्दतेऽमृतम्’ (Verse 4 II, Kena Upanishad) meaning ‘By Self-knowledge Immortality is Attained’ is written at the bottom of the emblem.
