MALWANCHAL UNIVERSITY

The emblem of Malwanchal University (MU) has a blue circle holding a gold and brown shield housing the motifs of sun, globe, a pair of lions and a pair of leaves along with its name. The shield is supported by a pair of laurels on sides and by a red banner at the bottom carrying its motto ‘Committed to Excellence’, within a gold circular line. The blue circle is ensconced by a golden ornamental border. The shield denotes safety, protection, readiness to overcome difficulties, power, valiance and cooperation; the globe denotes education, knowledge, influence, timelessness, global unity and interconnectedness; the sun represents life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the laurels refer to ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication; the colour brown refers to earthiness, simplicity, stability, humility, warmth, reliability, endurance, timelessness and tradition and the colour gold refers to wealth, prosperity, power, prestige and achievement.

BABA GHULAM SHAH BADSHAH UNIVERSITY Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) has come into existence by an Act of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly called the Jammu & Kashmir Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Act No. XVI of 2002 and the same is recognised by the AICTE and UGC, New Delhi, under sections 2F and 12 B. KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA SANGATHAN The emblem of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has a rising sun with its golden rays resembling twelve flying birds supported by an open book in the National Tricolour. Below the book its motto in Sanskrit ‘तत् त्वं पूषन् अपावृणु’ (15, Shloka, Isavasyopanishad) meaning ‘O Pushan, that I, Truth’s devotee’ and at the bottom the name of the institution is written in Devanagari.
