The insignia of Mangalayatan University (MU) has a monogram of ‘MU’ depicted as a flame of fire in the tones of yellow and orange supported by a blue colour swoosh resembles a traditional lamp; a base for the lamp on which its name is inscribed in Devanagari and its motto in Sanskrit ‘विश्वं ज्ञाने प्रतिष्टितम्’ meaning ‘World is Established by Knowledge’ placed below. The flame symbolises enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; the traditional lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity ; the colour orange symbolises energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness and the colour yellow symbolises happiness, energy, vitality, focus and creativity.

Established under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in 1992, NACO is the nodal organisation for the formulation of policy and implementation of programmes for prevention and control of HIV/ AIDS in India. The logo for NACO is a wordmark consisting of text, typeface, and red cross ribbon wrapped around the letter 'A' in NACO. The university's mission is to inculcate the essence of the Sanskrit Shloka ‘पदं हि सर्वत्र गुणैर्निधीयते’ meaning ‘Good Qualities Put their Footprints Everywhere’. The logo of the university has a blue and green abstract pictorial of ‘U’ and on its right a wordmark of its name in capitals thin serif letters with smooth transition of strokes. The counter of the ‘U’ is filled blue and a stroke of blue and green flows across diagonally from left to right top. This is further cut out by another ‘U’ at the top right corner. The colour blue represents serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty and the colour green denotes life, production, fertility, agriculture, environment and nature. The logo is modern, trendy and attractive.
