At the bottom its motto in Sanskrit ‘योगः कर्मसु कौशलम्’ (Verse 50, Chapter 2, Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘Yoga is Skill in Action’ is written. Below that its acronym ‘JNAFAU’ is written. The rose is symbolic of Jawaharlal Nehru, who wore a rose on his coat and the gear wheel symbolises interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress and advancement, synchronisation, timing, order, structure, engineering and technology.
