SRI KONDA LAXMAN TELANGANA STATE HORTICULTURAL UNIVERSITY

Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University (SKLTSHU) was established on December 23, 2014. The university runs on the land grant pattern of the USA, with a mandate on Education, Research and Extension of horticulture domain.The green and pink circular logo with a pink banner has a the map of the State of Telangana in the centre surrounded by fruits, vegetables, herbs, flowers, DNA structure, a microscope, an open book and a rising sun. These are ensconced in a pink gear wheel which bears the name of the university in Telugu along with the year of establishment and a green border with its name. At the bottom on a pink banner supported by a pair of rose sticks the acronym of its name is written. The open book denotes knowledge and wisdom; the rising sun signifies light, universal prosperity and path for growth and gear wheel denotes interconnectedness; efficiency and precision; progress and advancement; synchronisation and timing and order and structure. The colours pink and green are the popular colours of the State of Telengana.

It was rechristened as National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra on June 26, 2002. Its brown colour emblem is a gear wheel, in whose border the name of the institute and the place is written. In a circle within the gear a bow and an upward pointing arrow is placed. The bow radiates energy. Together, they communicate the essence and spirit of the UIDAI's mandate to people across the country. The design, which has been selected as the logo for Aadhaar, is a sun in red and yellow, with a fingerprint traced across its centre. The logo effectively communicates the vision for Aadhaar. It represents a new dawn of equal opportunity for each individual, a dawn which emerges from the unique identity the number guarantees for each individual. The logo was designed by Atul S. Pande of Pune and is selected through a competition in the year 2010.
