KAUSHALYA - THE SKILL UNIVERSITY

Kaushalya – The Skill University (KTSU) has been established vide an Act of Gujarat Assembly in October, 2021 with the objective of ‘Education with Skill’ and aims at making youth ‘Skill Smart’. The university is established by a legislation of Government of Gujarat in October 2021, as a one of its kind affiliating State University. It offers skill oriented courses through the schools of computing, science, manufacturing and infrastructure, liberal arts, services, management and finance and drone for certificate, diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The emblem of the university has a globe topped by a map of India with a highlighted map of the State of Gujarat supporting an open book. Below the globe ‘The Skill University’ is written. A very thick blue border like a horse shoe with its endings as cufflinks holding a spanner and a pencil supports the motifs. ‘Kaushalya’ is written in sans serif font on the blue border. The globe represents education, knowledge, influence, timelessness, global unity and interconnectedness; the open book denotes knowledge, education and wisdom; the spanner the practical skills and the pencil the writing and creative skills.

DHANALAKSHMI SRINIVASAN COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCE (SDCATS) The emblem of Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Arts and Science (SDCATS) features a circle housing a torch with flame, a pair of folded hands ‘ Namaste ’, an open book and a lotus ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college. The motto of the college ' Learning for Excellence ’ is inscribed on a banner placed below the seal. The torch is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; the namaste is a spiritual greeting that signifies ‘The Divine In Me Bows to The Divine In You’; the book refers to learning, education, knowledge, and wisdom; the lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty.

EMBLEM OF MAHARASHTRA The emblem of the State of Maharashtra is a circular seal depicting a Samai Diva Lamp surrounded by 16 lotus blooms. Between the Samai lamp and lotus blossoms is a motto in Sanskrit 'प्रतिपच्चंद्रलेखेव वर्धिष्णुर्विश्व वंदिता महाराष्ट्रस्य राज्यस्य मुद्रा भद्राय राजते' ( Pratipaccandralēkhēva vardhiṣṇurviśva vanditā mahārāṣṭrasya rājyasya mudrā bhadrāya rājatē ), which translates as ‘The Glory of this Seal of the State Government of Maharashtra will Grow like the First day Moon. It will be worshipped by the world and will shine only for the well being of its people’. The motto is based on one found on the (rajmudra) ‘royal seal’ used by 17th century Maratha king Chhatrapati Shivaji, the only difference being that the name of the monarch is replaced by the name of the State.

MAHARISHI UNIVERSITY OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY The three layered circular insignia of Maharishi University of Information Technology (MUIT) has a glowing sun in yellow carrying its name and motto ‘From Potentiality to Actuality Through Creative Intelligence’ in the outer; its name and motto in Devanagari in the middle and a motif of a big tree with foliage and roots topped by its acronym in the centre circles. The green tree symbolises strength, individuality and expression, calmness, growth, rootedness and the interconnectedness of everything; the yellow sun symbolises life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity.

MARATHWADA MITRA MANDAL'S COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING ( MMCOE ) The emblem of Marathwada Mitra Mandal's College of Engineering (MMCOE) features a line drawing of the mural of Bodhisattva Padmapani from the Cave 1 of Ajanta Caves which date back to the 5th century, with an arch from the same period and supported by the letter ‘M’ denoting the name of the college. The motto of the college in Marathi ‘येथे बहतांचे हित’ meaning ‘Welfare of the Masses’ is inscribed at the bottom.

PADMA SESHADRI BALA BHAVAN SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL The emblem of Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan Senior Secondary School (PSBBSSS) has a glowing torch with flame supported by an open book surmounted by a white border inscribed with its motto ‘Knowledge is Power’. This assemblage is supported by a pair of keys inscribed with its name of the trust and further surmounted by its name. All these are ensconced by a cyan outline made of circle and a winding stroke. The torch refers to enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; the book refers to knowledge, education, wisdom and learning and the keys are the keys for opening the doors of knowledge to rid ignorance.
