The circular seal of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) in the form of a brown gear wheel houses the motifs of glowing flame of a traditional lamp supported on side by a pair of fish and surmounted by its motto in Sanskrit ‘योगः कर्मसु कौशलम्’ (Verse 50, Chapter 2, Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘Yoga is Skill in Action’ on a blue circle. This is circumscribed by a green border which carries the name of the university. The wheel of gear denotes interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; the traditional lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity and the pair of fish denoting the State of Uttar Pradesh.

No. 15 Squadron NO 15 SQUADRON The No. 15 Squadron of Indian Air Force was formed on August 2, 1951 at Ambala. In 1983, the ‘Flying Lances’ were the first MiG-21 Bis squadron in the Air Force to be modified for the Matra Magic R55, air to air missiles. The squadron was again number plated in 2009 and re-raised in 2012 on the Su-30 at Sirsa AFS. The No. 15 Squadron’s motto is ‘Nihantavya Shatava’ meaning ‘Annihilate the Enemy’. This Squadron is also called ‘Flying Lances’. Its insignia has a flying lancer in the centre with a ball of fire background. It currently operates the Mikoyan MiG-21 from Jodhpur.
