THE GANDHIGRAM RURAL INSTITUTE
Gandhigram Rural Institute (GRI), founded by two dedicated disciples and contemporaries of Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. G. Ramachandran and Dr. T.S. Soundaram RamachandranIt earned the status of Deemed University in 1976. The red, green and blue colour stadium shaped emblem of GRI has a number of motifs ensconced in a border with red border lines. Inside the border line it has further been divided into five rectangles with one in the centre and other four on each of its four sides. The central box has an open book ensconced by a nine petalled lotus surrounded by a circular border of two lines. The boxes above and below this rectangle have ‘kolam’ patterns and the boxes on the left and the right each have two sets of concentric connected squares. The spaces in the corners have a caduceus, the staff of Hermes staff entwined with a snake, a plough, a charkha and a traditional lamp. The border around these has the name of the university written in green with Tamil and English. An open book denotes knowledge and wisdom; the lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty and the staff of Hermes, the plough, the charkha and the traditional lamp represent the domains of knowledge the university imparts and contributes. The emblem looks more like a friendly and casually scripted sketch than a formal emblem of a university, thereby making it more rooted and locale.

INDIRA GANDHI RASHTRIYA MANAV SANGRAHALAYA A nucleus of a 'National Museum of Man' began functioning from New Delhi from March 21, 1977 as part of the Anthropological Survey of India. INSTITUTE OF PESTICIDE FORMULATION TECHNOLOGY Established in May, 1991 under the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Institute of Pesticide Formulation Technology (IPFT) established a healthy rapport with the pesticides industries and has been able to successfully transfer technology for safer, efficient and environment friendly formulations. The Institute also functions as a Technical Coordinator Unit on user and environment friendly pesticide formulation technology and quality control of RENPAP, one of the largest networks of UNDP and UNIDO comprising of 15 countries of Asia. KARNATAKA POLICE Police in Karnataka were called by various names in different regions. After initiation of policing, they were initially called Thoti, Talwar, Umbalidhar, Kattubidi, Neeraganti etc. The police primarily with policing used to do other jobs entrusted to them. Mysore State was the predecessor to Karnataka State, which was created on November 1, 1965. Sri. L. Rickets was appointed as first Inspector General of Police. INDIAN INSTITUTE OF CORPORATE AFFAIRS The in-principle approval was granted by Planning Commission in year 2006 for development of a world class institution on corporate affairs. The proposal for setting up of Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) was approved in 2007 February. IICA was conceived as a revenue generating model and in the initial stage at least 33 percent of the revenue expenditure should be income from their activities. Its corporate tagline is ‘Partners Governance Transfromation’. The monogram has a bright blue rectangular round cornered box with four yellow coloured floating strokes symbolising the range of issues, which the institution may address; the acronym partially in white in the box and partially out of it.

JAL JEEVAN MISSION Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) was launched by the Government of India on August15, 2019 in partnership with the States, to enable every household in villages to have Functional Household Tap Connection (FHTC) in the next 5 years. It is envisaged that with FHTC, each household will have supply of potable water (at least 55 lpcd as prescribed in BIS 10500:2012) on regular and long-term basis. To implement the mission, institutional arrangements at various levels have been made and State’s PHE and RWS Departments are to play a critical role. They have to help Gram Panchayat (GP) and / or its sub-committee to plan, implement, manage, operate and maintain its in-village water supply systems. RAJASTHAN POLICE The erstwhile princely States constituting Rajasthan varied considerably in size, population, revenue resources, administrative procedures and practices. With the merger of these States, their police forces were amalgamated into a single police force, which is known as Rajasthan Police. In the intial years after its inception, Rajasthan Police was headed by officers on deputation. The Rajasthan Police Service was formed in January 1951 and eligible officers from all over the State were appointed. The emblem of Rajasthan Police consists of the ‘Jaya Stambh’ or Victory Tower of Chittaorgarh between two swords in saltire and a shield charged with Jaya Stambh, crested with the Ashoka Lion Capital with its motto, being the emblem of India. Below is the name of the service: Rajasthan Police: ‘Rajasthan Police’ in Devanagari.
