National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal (NITK) Surathkal is located in Mangalore City, Karnataka State, India. The Institute was established as Karnataka Regional Engineering College (KREC) in 1960 and upgraded as National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) in 2002. The emblem of NITK is a shield gear wheel having its acronym of name and a banner with its tagline 'तत्पूजा कर्मचारिवलम्' meaning ‘Work is Worship’ in English, Hindi and Kannada. Below these, an aeroplane, a ship, a power cable tower and river bridge. The border of the shield bears the name of the institution and its place.

MAULANA AZAD NATIONAL URDU UNIVERSITY Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is a Central University established by an Act of Parliament in 1998. SANT GAHIRA GURU VISHWAVIDYALAYA The circular emblem of Sant Gahira Guru Vishwavidyalaya (SGCG), formerly known a s Sarguja University has a circular border in orange and green and has its name, place and motto inscribed in Devanagari and supported by a pair of tribal ornaments.
