National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra, NIT Kurukshetra was founded in 1963 as Regional Engineering College Kurukshetra. It was rechristened as National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra on June 26, 2002. Its brown colour emblem is a gear wheel, in whose border the name of the institute and the place is written. In a circle within the gear a bow and an upward pointing arrow is placed. The bow radiates energy. There is a downward pointing arrow in the name of the place emphazising the importance of the place and the grounding. On a banner placed below its motto ‘श्रमोनवरत चेष्टा च’ meaning ‘Hard Work and Consistent Efforts’

UTTARANCHAL UNIVERSITY Uttaranchal University has come a long way since its inception in 2013 providing world class multidisciplinary education. The university's mission is to inculcate the essence of the Sanskrit Shloka ‘पदं हि सर्वत्र गुणैर्निधीयते’ meaning ‘Good Qualities Put their Footprints Everywhere’. The logo of the university has a blue and green abstract pictorial of ‘U’ and on its right a wordmark of its name in capitals thin serif letters with smooth transition of strokes. The counter of the ‘U’ is filled blue and a stroke of blue and green flows across diagonally from left to right top. This is further cut out by another ‘U’ at the top right corner. The colour blue represents serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty and the colour green denotes life, production, fertility, agriculture, environment and nature. The logo is modern, trendy and attractive.
