The emblem of the National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC) has a red circle housing the motifs of a map of Bharat the India holding a black mortarboard hat on which ‘Q’ for quality is written. Its acronym ‘NAAC’ and a dot of where it is located. These are ensconced by a white circular border with a red outline, which bears its name. At the bottom, on a white banner its motto ‘Excellence Credibility Relevance’ is written in black. The mortarboard or Oxford hat refers to the educational institutions the NAAC assess for quality; the map of India about geographical scope and the colour red symbolises passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration.
