The predominantly blue circular emblem of Dau Shri Vasudev Chandrakar Kamdhenu Vishwavidyalaya (CGKV) has lotus spread in a circle that houses the motif of a gear wheel. Inside the gear wheel a map of the world is placed with a projected map of the State of Chhattisgarh; a bust of cattle, a fish and a Staff of Caduceus or Staff of Hermes with a pair of entwined serpents and wings with a ‘V’ on it. The border around the gear wheel bears its name and place in Devanagari and English. Below the gear wheel its motto is inscribed. The lotus symbolises purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the gear wheel symbolises interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; the fish, cattle and ‘V’ denote the veterinary sciences; the Staff of Hermes denotes medicine and medical practice and the colour blue denotes serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.
