The green circular emblem of Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (JNKVV) houses the motifs of a farmer ploughing field, a spike of wheat, an open book carrying the images of a microscope and a tractor and its motto in Sanskrit ‘प्राणिनां प्राणदा कृषि’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Lifeblood of Living Beings’. All the motifs represent the field of agriculture and the scope of the university. All these are ensconced by a white circular border with green outlines which carries its year of inception, name and place in Devanagari and English.

KARNATAKA POLICE Police in Karnataka were called by various names in different regions. After initiation of policing, they were initially called Thoti, Talwar, Umbalidhar, Kattubidi, Neeraganti etc. The police primarily with policing used to do other jobs entrusted to them. RAJENDRA UNIVERSITY Rajendra University, Balangir, recognized by UGC as a State Public University, owes its origin to an Intermediate college setup in Balangir in 1944 by Maharaja Rajendra Narayan Sighdeo, the then ruler of the erstwhile Patna State and one of the former Chief Ministers of Odisha. CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF TAMILNADU The Government of India founded the Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN), along with eight other Central Universities, through an Act of Parliament in 2009. Its emblem is in the form of a black shield with a crest of flames in yellow and orange colours. The top portion of the shield, which is separated by a horizontal double head arrow line, has its name written in Devanagari topped by a rising sun. The portion below this is divided into three parts with a symbol of recycling materials, a graduating scholar in a halo and a stem of plant shooting from a pair of meshed gear wheels, which are supported by a pair of blue ribbons.
