The green circular emblem of Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (JNKVV) houses the motifs of a farmer ploughing field, a spike of wheat, an open book carrying the images of a microscope and a tractor and its motto in Sanskrit ‘प्राणिनां प्राणदा कृषि’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Lifeblood of Living Beings’. All the motifs represent the field of agriculture and the scope of the university. All these are ensconced by a white circular border with green outlines which carries its year of inception, name and place in Devanagari and English.
