Ramchandra Chandravansi University (RCU) in Palamu, Jharkhand has been set up by Ramchandra Chandravansi Welfare Trust (RCWT). The emblem of the university has a golden shield with a thick green border with a golden ribbon in the background. The shield has the motif of a crowquill pen in a white cut out and crested by ‘RC University’. The pen is and the swoosh around it is in gold and green colours. On the golden ribbon ‘Estd 2018’ is written and the shield is supported by a pair of green laurels. The shield symbolises protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the pen symbolises freedom, intelligence, creativity, professionalism, determination and diligence; the laurels symbolise success, victory and achievement; the colour gold denotes wealth, prosperity, power, prestige and achievement and the colour green signifies agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.
