Sidho-Kanho-Birsha University (SKBU) situated in Purulia started functioning on July 6, 2010 with the publication of assent of the Governor in the Kolkata Gazette. Its circular emblem with yellow background and black details has an open book and pen in the centre and its motto in Sanskrit ‘स नो बुद्धया शुभया संयुनन्तु’ meaning ‘Let the Almighty Bestow on Us Blessed Thought’. All these are ensconced by a border bearing the name of the university and its year of establishment. Open book denotes knowledge and wisdom; the pen denotes communication, creativity, the power of written language, thoughts and emotions and knowledge and the colour yellow signifies happiness, energy, vitality, focus and creativity.

NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY ANDHRA PRADESH National Institute of Technology, Andhra Pradesh (NIT AP) is the thirty-first institution among the chain of NITs started by the Government of India. NIT Andhra Pradesh was established in the state of Andhra Pradesh recently in the academic year 2015-2016. Its circular emblem has a ‘Poorna Kumbham’ or ‘Kalasha’ which means ‘Full or Complete Vessel’ when the pot is referred to as the Kalasha. The Purna-Kalasha is considered a symbol of abundance and 'Source of Life' in the Vedas. Purna-Kumbha is a Vedic motif, known from the time of Rigveda. It is held above the lotus, which is supported by a book and a pair of laurels of cereal on both the sides. These are ensconced in a circle, which is closed by a circular gear wheel, on which the name of the institute in Hindi and English and its tagline ‘श्रमेव जयते’ meaning ‘Hard Work Triumphs’ are written.

NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY KURUKSHETRA National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra, NIT Kurukshetra was founded in 1963 as Regional Engineering College Kurukshetra. It was rechristened as National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra on June 26, 2002. Its brown colour emblem is a gear wheel, in whose border the name of the institute and the place is written. In a circle within the gear a bow and an upward pointing arrow is placed. The bow radiates energy. There is a downward pointing arrow in the name of the place emphazising the importance of the place and the grounding. The name and logo for the unique numbers to be issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) have been developed keeping in mind the transformational potential of the programme. Together, they communicate the essence and spirit of the UIDAI's mandate to people across the country. The design, which has been selected as the logo for Aadhaar, is a sun in red and yellow, with a fingerprint traced across its centre. The logo effectively communicates the vision for Aadhaar. It represents a new dawn of equal opportunity for each individual, a dawn which emerges from the unique identity the number guarantees for each individual. The logo was designed by Atul S. Pande of Pune and is selected through a competition in the year 2010.

Its emblem is a gearwheel with sixteen teeth in a dark violet colour encompassing a yellow border and a light green circle. The border carries the name of the college. The light green circle has a magnetic circuit, a manufacturing plant, a satellite, a dish antenna and a transmission tower, a tree, a bridge, a computer and a flask. This covers all the major areas of learning in the college. Its acronym is placed below the emblem.
