RADHA GOVIND UNIVERSITY

Radha Govind University (RGU) is a private university located in Lalki Ghati of Ramgarh district on a thirty three acres campus in Jharkhand. RGSST was established on August 19, 2013. The emblem of the university has a shield divided into four quadrants. One quadrant has the motif of Staff of Hermes with a pair of serpents entwined and wings representing medicine and medical profession; the other quadrant has an open book, a bottle of ink and pen symbolising knowledge, education and wisdom; the third has a torch symbolising emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power and the fourth quadrant with laboratory apparatus denoting science and research. The shield has green borders. Below the shield its motto in Sanskrit ‘सर्वेशां पूर्णं भवतु’ (Shanti Mantra, Brihandaranyaka Upanishad) meaning ‘May there be Fulfilment in All’ is written . All these are supported by a pair of hands and ensconced by a circular border, which bears the name of the university. Below the hands the year of establishment of the university and its place and State are inscribed.

UNIVERSITY OF JAMMU The University of Jammu (UoJ) came into existence in 1969 through the Kashmir and Jammu Universities Act 1969 following bifurcation of the erstwhile University of Jammu and Kashmir. The circular emblem of the university has an open book supporting a lotus with a background of mountains and surmounted by atomic structure. These are ensconced by a yellow circular border which carries its motto in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ (Yajnavalkya,1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad) meaning ‘From Darkness Lead me to Light’ on one side and its name in Kashmiri on the other side. The name of the university is written on A banner at the bottom. SANT GAHIRA GURU VISHWAVIDYALAYA The circular emblem of Sant Gahira Guru Vishwavidyalaya (SGCG), formerly known a s Sarguja University has a circular border in orange and green and has its name, place and motto inscribed in Devanagari and supported by a pair of tribal ornaments. The motto is written in Sanskrit which is an extract from the Kathopanishad ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’, (Shloka 11, Ishopanishad) meaning ‘Immortality is Gained from Learning’. Inside the border, motifs of a drum, supported by a pair of horns; an open book topped by a red sun ; a banyan tree and a pair of crests of millets are placed.
