MEGHALAYA RURAL BANK

Meghalaya Rural Bank (MRB) was established on December 29, 1981 under the Regional Rural Banks Act of 1976. The logo of the bank has a motif of a woman and a man working in a field with a backdrop of snowy mountain and blue sky. These are ensconced in a pink circle with blue outlines bearing the name of the bank. Green and blue are the colours of the land and symbolises the rural setting and nature and scope of the bank’s operations. Pink is an attractive colour which evokes the feeling of tenderness. The colour blue denotes the vast opportunities it opens up for the stakeholders and the trust one can repose on the bank. Green colour denotes harmony, freshness, fertility, calmness, tolerance, prosperity and growth.
