The emblem of National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research (NCPOR) has motifs of an iceberg above and below the polar oceans, mountains, seismic activities in the ocean, its acronym placed inside a circle with blue outline. This circle is ensconced by a white border with thick blue outline on which its name is inscribed in Devanagari and English. The tones of blue used in the emblem represent ice, water and polar regions.
