The seal of the Osmania University (OS) is the adaptation of its earlier versions. It has the letter ‘ع’ (Ain) the starting letter of its name in Urdu, ensconced by a banner which has formed itself into a shape of shield with festoons. The top portion of banner has its motto in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ (Yajnavalkya,1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad) meaning ‘From Darkness Lead me to Light’ is written; the sides of the shield are written with its name in English and on the hangings its name is written in Telugu. The shield symbolises protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery.

NATIONAL SINGLE WINDOW SYSTEM The National Single Window System (NSWS) is a digital platform to guide you in identifying and applying for approvals according to your business requirements. The Know Your Approvals (KYA) module includes guidance for thirty two Central Departments and thirty two States. The portal hosts applications for approvals from twenty eight Central Departments and twenty State Governments. These approvals can be applied through NSWS. Its logo has an emblem in inverted ‘s’ in black starting with an orange dot and ending with a green dot, symbolising the application and approvals of proposals through a single window.
