VIVEKANANDA COLLEGE FOR WOMEN, THIRUCHENGODE (VCEW) The emblem of Vivekananda College For Women, Thiruchengode (VCEW) features a circle housing the blue colour motifs of a mortarboard hat, a microscope, Staff of Hermes, an open book, and a pair of gear wheels. These are ensconced by light blue circular borders inscribed with the name and place of the college. The motto of the college ‘Women Empowerment’ is inscribed on a light blue colour banner, which is placed below the seal. The mortarboard hat or Oxford hat denotes educational achievement, equality, tradition and rights of passage; the microscope refers to science; the gear wheels refer to technology; Caduceus the Staff of Hermes with a pair of entwined snakes and wings denotes medicine and medical profession; and the book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom.

VIVEKANANDA COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, SEPLANATHAM, NEYVELI (VCES) The emblem of Vivekananda College of Education, Seplanatham, Neyveli (VCES) features a shield inscribed with the portrait of Swami Vivekananda supported by an open book. The motto of the college ‘Truth Task’ is written below the shield. The name of the place of the college is written on a banner placed below the shield. Swami Vivekanada was a pivotal Indian Hindu monk and chief disciple of Ramakrishna Paramhansa who modernized Hinduism and introduced Indian Vedanta and Yoga to the West. The book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom.

The book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the lamp symbolises  light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; and the computer is the symbol of science and technology.
