GOVERNMENT ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE, KARAMBAKUDI (KGASC) The emblem of Government Arts and Science College, Karambakudi (KGASC) features a shield inscribed with the motifs of the facade of the college, a laptop computer, laboratory equipment, a graduate woman and a graduate man. The shield is supported by a pair of ears corn, a pair of crests of paddy and a banner inscribed with the motto of the college in Tamil. All these are ensconced by a brown circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the laptop and the laboratory equipment refer to science and technology; the graduating students with mortarboard hat symbolise educational achievement, equality, tradition and rights of passage; the corn and the paddy refers to agriculture, growth, sustenance, and fertility.
