AMBEDKAR GOVERNMENT ARTS COLLEGE (AUTONOMOUS), VYSARPADI (DAGAC) The emblem of Dr. Ambedkar Government Arts College (Autonomous), Vysarpadi (DAGAC) features a shield housing the motif of a ‘kuthuvilakku’ (a traditional lamp) and an open book; a factory; a lotus on a waterbody ensconced by a border inscribed with the name nad motto of the college in Tamil. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the factory refers to industry and production; and the lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty.
