GOVERNMENT ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE, SRIRANGAM (GASC SRIRANGAM) The emblem of Government Arts and Science College, Srirangam (GASC Srirangam) features a circle with the images of Kallanai is an ancient dam built by Karikala of Chola dynasty, the grand gopuram of Lord Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, and the historic Rockfort of Tiruchirapally housing a white circle with the motifs of an open book and a nib of a pen with mortarboard hat. On the circle, a red banner inscribed with the motto of the college in Tamil ‘அறிவை விரிவு செய்’ meaning ‘Expand Your Knowledge’ is inscribed. The name of the college in Tamil circumscribes the circle and a blue pennant below the circle a mortarboard hat is inscribed. The images refer to the history and heritage of the place of the college; the gopuram signifies divine blessings and guidance.
