SHIVNAGAR VIDYA PRASARAK MANDAL'S COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING (SVPM) The emblem of Shivnagar Vidya Prasarak Mandal's College of Engineering (SVPM) features a gearwheel housing a pictorial of an orange circle ensconced by a grey square with extended corners and inscribed with the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘योगः कर्मसु कौशलम्’ meaning ; a pair of laurels and the name of its management in Devanagari. The gearwheel is supported by a pair of hands and at the bottom, the initials of the college ‘SVPM’ is written. The gearwheel denotes technology, engineering, interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; the central motif represents a core of knowledge or the interconnectedness of various disciplines, which are then supported by the surrounding elements; the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication; and the hands refer to the management and the college.
