GOVERNMENT ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE, HOSUR (GASC HOSUR) The emblem of Government Arts and Science College, Hosur (GASC Hosur) features a shield housing the motifs of a factory and truck, a rose and a scene of a green, hilly landscape with a tree, supported by a banner inscribed with the motto of the college in Tamil ‘அறிவு ஒழுக்கம் உயர்வு’ meaning ‘Knowledge Discipline Excellence’. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the factory represents industry and production; the rose represents the local produce; the blue sky with pasture scene represents the local geography, environment, or growth.
