ARPUTHA COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCE (ARPUTHA COLLEGE) The blue and green emblem of Arputha College of Arts And Science (Arputha College) features a circle inscribed with the motif of a palmyrah tree, a computer, a mobile phone and an open book ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college. The motto of the college in Latin ‘Pro Deo El Patria’ meaning ‘For God and Country’ is inscribed on a banner placed below the seal. The palmyrah tree refers to the common local tree, the computer and the phone refers to science and technology; and the book denotes knowledge, education, learning and wisdom.
