The emblem of Vel College of Education (VCE) features the Gopuram of  Sri Dhandayuthapani Swamy Temple, which is located in Palani supported by an open book and ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college. On a banner placed below  the seal, the motto of the college is inscribed in Tamil. The gopuram of the temple refers to the heritage and history of the place and divine blessings and grace; and the book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom.
