THIRU. A. GOVINDASAMY GOVERNMENT ARTS COLLEGE (TAGGAC) The emblem of Thiru. A. Govindasamy Government Arts College (TAGGAC) features a shield housing the motifs of the poet Thiruvalluvar, a ‘kuthuvilakku’ (a traditional lamp) , an open book and the Sri Sakthivel Malai Murugal Temple Tindivanam, supported by a banner inscribed with the name of the college in Tamil and supported by a banner inscribed with the motto of the college in Tamil. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; Thiruvalluvar symbolises history, heritage, and literature; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity and the book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom.
