GOVERNMENT ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE, SRIVILLIPUTHUR (GASC SRIVI) The emblem of Government Arts and Science College, Srivilliputhur (GASC Srivi) features an image of the gopuram of Sri Srivilliputtur Arulmigu Andal Sametha Rangamannar Temple, a traditional lamp and an open book. The motifs are ensconced by a yellow circular border with red outlines inscribed with the name of the college and its place in Tamil. The temple refers to history, heritage, and divine blessings and guidance; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; and the book refers to learning, knowledge, education and wisdom.
