ANNAI FATHIMA COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCE (ANNAI FATHIMA COLLEGE) The red emblem of Annai Fathima College of Arts and Science (Annai Fathima College) features a shield housing the motifs of a traditional lamp, an open book, a banner inscribed with the motto of the college ‘Excellence with Relevance’ and the initials of the college ‘AFC’. The shield is supported by a pair of laurels on the sides. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; and the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.
