GOVERNMENT ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE, TITTAKKUDI (GASTIT) The emblem of Government Arts and Science College, Tittakkudi (GASTIT) features a shield housing the motifs of the State Emblem of Tamilnadu, an open book and an image of the poet Thiruvalluvar supported by a blue banner inscribed with the name of the college. Below the shield, the motto of the college ‘திட்டம் செயல் பயன்’ meaning ‘Plan Action Outcome’ is placed at the bottom. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the book refers to learning, knowledge, education and wisdom; and the image of Thiruvalluvar refers to Tamil literature and heritage.
