GOVERNMENT ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE, SENDAMANGALAM (GASCSDM) The emblem of Government Arts and Science College, Sendamangalam (GASCSDM) features a shield housing the motifs of poet Thiruvalluvar, an open book with symbols, the scene of Agaya Gangai waterfalls, and a photo of the college building. The shield is ensconced by a red circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college. Below the seal, on a red banner, the motto of the college in Tamil ‘எளிமை கல்வி உழைப்பு உயர்வு’ meaning ‘Simplicity Education Hard Work Advancement’ is inscribed. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; poet Thiruvalluvar refers to Tamil literature and heritage; the book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the scene of waterfalls refers to the place's attractions.
