Below the seal, on a red banner the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ (Yajnavalkya, 1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad) meaning ‘From Darkness Lead Me to Light’ is inscribed. The torch with flame is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; and the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.
