BHARAT RATNA PURATCHI THALAIVAR DR. M.G.R. GOVERNMENT ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE, PALACODE (GAS PALACODE) The emblem of Bharat Ratna Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. M.G.R.Government Arts and Science College, Palacode (GAS Palacode) features a shield in tricolour housing the motifs of an open book and a lamp, the chieftain Adigaman Naduman Anji, a patron of the famous poetess Avvaiyar, a factory and engineering tools, and Yelagiri Hills mountain range. Below the shield, on a ribbon the motto of the college in Tamil ‘அறிவு ஆற்றல் ஒழுக்கம்’ meaning ‘Knowledge Ability Discipline’ is inscribed. These motifs are placed on a grey circle.
