GOVERNMENT ARTS COLLEGE FOR WOMEN, RAMANATHAPURAM (GACWRMD) The emblem of Government Arts College For Women, Ramanathapuram (GACWRMD) features a globe with gridlines inscribed with four abstract motifs of a leader and followers, a partial circle with the motifs of a computer, laboratory equipment, other tools and a woman with a mortarboard hat supported by a banner inscribed with the motto of the college ‘Learn to Lead’. The globe is ensconced by a border inscribed with the name of the college. A pair of laurels support the seal on the sides. The globe and the symbolises education, knowledge, influence, timelessness, global unity and interconnectedness; the humans refer to students and teacher; the woman with the hat refers to educational achievement, equality, tradition and rights of passage; laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication; the other symbols refer to subject disciplines of science and technology.
