AMBIGA COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCE FOR WOMEN (AMBIGA COLLEGE) The emblem of Ambiga College of Arts and Science for Women (Ambiga College) features a white and blue shield housing the motifs of an open book, supported by a red lotus on water. A traditional lamp crests the shield and a banner inscribed with the motto of the college ‘Knowledge is Light’ supports it. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the book denotes knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; and the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity.
