The emblem of Arulmigu Meenakshi Amman College of Education (AMACEDU) features a shield inscribed with the motifs of a ‘Yali’, a set of buildings and a hand holding a torch. The shield is supported by the year of establishment of the college and the name of the college. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery;the ‘yali’ the mythical creature - part lion, elephant, and horse or serpent - that symbolises fierce protection, immense strength, and vigilance; the ‘yali’ also refers to the temple sculptures of Sri Meenakshi Amman Temple of Madurai; the building refers to the college’s infrastructure; and flame of torch is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power.
