GOVERNMENT THIRUMAGAL MILLS COLLEGE, GUDIYATHAM (GTCE) The shield shaped emblem of Government Thirumagal Mills College, Gudiyatham (GTCE) features the motifs of a ‘kutjuvilakku’ (a traditional lamp), an open book, the gopuram of the temple, a pair of elephants, a mountain, and a lotus. Below the shield, on a banner, the motto of the college in Tamil ‘கற்றனைத்து ஊறும் அறிவு’ (396, Thirukkural, Thiruvalluvar) meaning ‘Knowledge Will Flow to the Extent of the Education Acquired by the People’ is inscribed.
