WOMEN'S CHRISTIAN COLLEGE (WCC)
WOMEN'S CHRISTIAN COLLEGE (WCC) The emblem of Women's Christian College (WCC) features a shield housing the motifs of two sunflowers with a pair buds, a traditional lamp and its motto ‘Lighted to Lighten’ with the year of inception of the college written below the shield. The name of the college is written in old style text on the right. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; and the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity. The sunflowers symbolise happiness, adoration, loyalty, and longevity, stemming from their habit of turning to follow the sun. They represent positivity, warmth, and spiritual guidance, signifying resilience and strength as they grow tall and face light even in adversity. Across cultures, they've also meant harvest, prosperity, and even served as religious symbols for sun gods.
