CHENNAI NATIONAL COLLEGE (CNC) The circular seal of Chennai National College (CNC) features an open book supporting a lotus crested by a glowing traditional lamp and supported by a banner inscribed with the motto of the college ‘Light the Lamp of Knowledge’. This assemblage is ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college . The book refers to education, learning and wisdom; the lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; and the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity.
