ALAGAPPA GOVERNMENT ARTS COLLEGE (AGAC) The emblem of Alagappa Government Arts College (AGAC) features a medal inscribed with a glowing sun tied with a blue ribbon and subscribed with its motto in Tamil ‘அன்பு அறம் பணி’ meaning ‘Love Virtue Service’. This assemblage is placed on a spread of lotus. The sun symbolises life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; and the the lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty.
