GOVERNMENT ARTS COLLEGE, MELUR (MELUR GAC) The emblem of Government Arts College, Melur (Melur GAC) features a yellow shield with violet outlines housing the motifs of the gopuram of Sri Kalyanasundareswarr Temple supported by an open book and globe at the bottom and a hand holding a mask the right and a another holding a torch on the left. The shield is supported by a yellow banner inscribed with the motto of the college in Tamil ‘ஓதல் ஒழுக்கம் உலக ஒருமை’ meaning ‘The DIscipline of Learning Global Unity’ and surmounted by a yellow banner inscribed with the name of the college in Tamil.
