The emblem of Aruna Vidya Arts and Science College (AVASC) features an open book transforming into a blue lotus supporting a full glowing sun and supported by a pair of laurels. The motifs are ensconced by a red circular border inscribed with the name of the college. A blue banner inscribed with the motto of the college ‘United We Succeed’ is placed below the seal. The book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the blue lotus (Nymphaea caerulea) symbolizes spiritual awakening, wisdom, rebirth, and purity; the sun represents life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; and the laurels  are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.

KALINGA INSTITUTE OF INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) was established in 1992 as a vocational training centre with two staff and twelve students. KIIT owes its existence to the vision of its founder Prof. Achyuta Samanta. The green colour emblem of the institute has a bottom half of a gear wheel supporting the acronym ‘KIIT’ of its name in which the two ‘i’s depicting two humans. The gear wheel symbolises interconnectedness; efficiency and precision; progress and advancement; synchronisation and timing and order and structure. The colour green symbolises agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.

The shield is supported by decorative elements on the sides and crested by a soaring eagle. The motto of the college ‘From Darkness to Light’ is inscribed on a banner placed below the shield. The soaring eagle signifies vision, academic ambition, courage and soaring to intellectual heights; the shield is a traditional symbol of defense and preservation. It indicates the college's responsibility to protect knowledge, cultural values and the future of its students; and the chinar leaf represents the natural heritage, peace and iconic landscape of Jammu and Kashmir.
